Hi, I’m Melissa — the photographer behind The Marvelous Mrs. Lindsey.

I’m based in the Texas Hill Country, where I document stories for the people who want to remember how life felt, not just how it looked.

Over the years, I realized the images people connect to most are rarely the perfectly posed ones. They’re the in-between moments. The laugh that wasn’t planned. The chaos that somehow still felt beautiful. The way your child reaches for your hand without thinking. The version of yourself you almost forgot was still there.

That’s the kind of photography I’m drawn to.

I photograph motherhood, families, seniors, couples, branding, and the seasons in life that deserve to be remembered honestly. My work blends storytelling with artistry — creating images that feel emotional, grounded, timeless, and deeply personal to you.

Clients often tell me, “I didn’t realize you captured that.”
And I think that’s because I’m not just looking for a pretty picture. I’m watching for connection, personality, movement, emotion — the things that make your story yours.

When I’m not behind the camera, I’m usually dreaming up new creative concepts, rearranging my studio, chasing ideas faster than I can write them down, spending time with my family, or finding beauty in ordinary moments most people would overlook.

At the end of the day, I want your photographs to feel like evidence:
that this season existed,
that this love was real,
and that these moments mattered.

Do you accept payment plans?

Absolutely. I am happy to discuss a personalized payment plan that we can both agree on.

How long until I get to see the images?

Expect a turnaround of 2-3 weeks. You'll receive a link via email to a digital gallery. The gallery will be accessible for 1 month before deletion, so make sure to download your photos within that time.

Do you have a cancellation policy?

I understand that situations can change. If you need to cancel or reschedule, please notify me as soon as possible. Deposits are generally non-refundable but can be applied to a future session if rescheduled within a certain time frame.

Do you have a studio?

Yes! I have an in-home studio that is decorated with neutral colors and a boho style. I also have many backdrops if you are interested in a different look. If you have something in mind, more than likely I can produce the image you want. Just ask!
